Change of clothing: Accidents happen and thats okay! Please be sure your child has an extra pair of weather appropriate clothing at school. They may keep it in there cubby incase of an accident.

Monday Mail: Monday mail is our classroom weekly newsletter. It is sent either by email or paper copy on Mondays (depending in your selected preferences).

Take Home Folders: Your child will be bringing home a “Take-Home” folder. Every evening, please take a few moments to go through this folder. In it you will find important information, as well as any work your child has done at school. It will be sent home every day and will need to be returned to school the following day.

The folder will be used for different purposes:

  • It will be a way of daily communication between home and school.
  • It will contain a behavior star chart (to be initialed daily).
  • It will contain important notices from the classroom/school.
  • It will contain your child's homework (when assigned).

The behavior star chart lets you know how your child’s day at school was. Please be sure to initial this daily. This helps your child learn responsibility. Every day your child will start with four stars. Should any stars get taken away, you’ll find a short explanation as to why.

Homework: This district expectation is that students are reading each night at home for 15-20 minutes. Please be sure you are also practicing/review our weekly sight words and letter/letter sounds. Skills practice homework will go home weekly beginning the second semester.Homework will be sent home on Monday and is due Friday that same week.
