Winslow Homer (1836-1910) was an American Native School painter who showed us through his art what life in the United States was like in the late 1800’s. His superb mastery of value (light and dark) produced beautiful works of art through woodblock prints, watercolor, and oils.
Our students throughout the school created art in the style of Homer focusing on light and dark value techniques.
