Welcome to 6th Grade World Cultures!

     For my classes, we are using the Canvas app. Students are automatically enrolled into it. However it is an option for a parent/guardian to be an observer to see what our class and their student is up to.

Hopefully, you have received an invitation to join our class as an observer.  If you did not. please email me and I'll send you an access code so you can join your student.

My name is David Bagley. This will be my 19th year teaching, but my 1st in New Braunfels.  I grew up in Mt. Pleasant Texas and went to college at Harding University in Searcy, AR.  My wife graduated from NBHS and I have 3 daughters in NBISD.  I coach football and golf.

Class Expectations

The class expectations are designed to insure each student a full period of instruction each day.

  1. Be PREPARED for class.
  2. Be RESPECTFUL at all times.
  3. Be POLITE & COURTEOUS at all times.
  4. Practice SAFE behavior.
  5. Keep a POSITIVE attitude.

Grading Policy

Tests= 50%

Daily= 40%

Homework= 10%

Canvas

With the integration of the iPad initiative within our middle school, we will be using the iPad to distribute resources, turn in some assignments, and take weekly exams. Not all assignments will be iPad compatible, students will still be constructing items on paper.

Notability

Notability is the student "binder".  Electronic resources and assignments will be distributed through Canvas and then downloaded to Notability.  Please help your student stay organized by frequently checking their Notability App.

Notability should be organized as follows:

1. Name a DIVIDER Social Studies.

2. Create the following SUBJECTS in your divider:

Europe & Russia
