Hello my Amazing Artists! I am so excited to be joining Seele as your Art Teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. I have been teaching Art for 17 years. I love my job. I love presenting a project, witnessing the assortment of ideas that come from young minds, and seeing the finished results. I believe that everyone is an artist, and that it's my job to help bring it out.

I grew up in Maryland, where I developed a love of Visual Arts from my mother. She was a Middle School Art Teacher for close to 40 years. I admired her dedication and love for her career-- she was a spectacular teacher and I credit her with helping me find my way to this profession. I went on to study Art Education at Millersville University and lettered as a Forward on our NCAA Division II Field Hockey team all 4 years. My husband and I married and moved to Texas in 2004. I got my first teaching job at Marble Falls High School and taught and coached there for two years. Then, after a year at Boerne High School I took a job at Smithson Valley Middle school where I taught for 13 years. I have two boys that also attend Seele.
