    This week, students will use different tools in Adobe Illustrator to create unique design graphics.  Students will create and design the tennis uniform for next year. This will be the last week for Adobe Illustrator.

    DIGITAL DESIGN

    This week, students will be tested on their knowledge of basics tools in Adobe Illustrator. We will also start learning the basic tools of  Adobe Effects; Create cinematic movie titles, intros, and transitions. Remove an object from a clip. Start a fire or make it rain. Animate a logo or character. Cut video clips on mobile or desktop. Trim, rearrange, smooth, and blend. Quickly extract the shots you want using intuitive controls and powerful editing commands.

  • COMPUTER LITERACY

    This week students will continue to learn the basics of iMovie; a video editing software to create professional-looking videos. Students will create videos using the basic tools and be tested this week.

     

    DIGITAL DESIGN

    This week, students will continue to learn other basic tools of Adobe Illustrator; turn simple shapes and colors into sophisticated logos, icons, and graphics. Illustrator artwork is vector-based design software.  Add effects, manage styles, and edit individual characters to create typographic designs that perfectly express your messages.     This week students will review Adobe Illustrator basics and continue to learn other basic tools of AI; turn simple shapes and colors into sophisticated logos, icons, and graphics. Illustrator artwork is vector-based design software.  Add effects, manage styles, and edit individual characters to create typographic designs that perfectly express your messages. Create freehand drawings, or trace and recolor graphics to turn them into works of art.

    This week students will finish up their SketchUp 3D designs; and be tested on their SketchUp skills.  All keyboarding lessons should be completed this week, typing.com will close on Friday, February 25.

     

    DIGITAL DESIGN

    This week students will finish with InDesign; Menu Test (2 files; pdf and IDML) should be submitted to Canvas by Friday, Feb. 25.) Last assignment will be InDesign poster. All InDesign assignments will be closed; as well as the Menu Test this Friday.  All keyboarding lessons should be completed this week, typing.com will close on Friday, February 25.

    This week students will use SketchUp to create 3D designs; a 3D modeling computer program for a broad range of drawing and design applications;  Students will continue to use typing.com to practice on typing skills. Advance Lesson 6 & 7 in typing.com is due by Friday.

    This week students will continue to learn the basics of InDesign; We will finish tutorials and start creating layouts with text and graphics. 7th Graders will have testing on Wednesday. Students will continue to use typing.com to practice on typing skills. Advance Lesson 6 & 7 is due this week.

    This week students will continue to learn the basics of InDesign; We will finish last weeks tutorial and add: Create a layout with text and graphics, and Create an attractive sidebar in no time at all. Students will continue to use typing.com to practice on typing skills. Advance Lesson 5 is due this week.

    This week students will be introduce to SketchUp; a 3D modeling computer program for a broad range of drawing and design applications — including architectural, interior design, industrial and product design, landscape architecture, civil and mechanical engineering, theater, film and video game development.  Advance Lesson 4 in typing.com is due by Friday.

     

    DIGITAL DESIGN

    This week students will be introduced to InDesign; InDesign has everything you need to create and publish books, digital magazines, eBooks, posters, interactive PDFs, and more. Design everything from stationery, flyers, and posters to brochures, annual reports, magazines, and books. With professional layout and typesetting tools, students can create multicolumn pages that feature stylish typography and rich graphics, images, and tables.

    Students will continue to use typing.com to practice on typing skills. Advance Lesson 4 is due this week.

  • COMPUTER LITERACY

    This week students will be tested on the ComicLife application; over fonts, templates, panels, balloons, captions, and lettering art. Advance Lesson 3 in typing.com is due by Friday.

     

    DIGITAL DESIGN

    This week students will work on a video that promotes computer classes. Students will work on a video featuring one of the computers classes offered at ORMS using iMovie or Premier Pro. This project will count as a test grade. Students will continue to use typing.com to practice on typing skills. Advance Lesson 3 is due this week.

    This week we will work on a commercial video. Students will work on a commercial featuring a local business using iMovie. We will learn advance iMovie features to include in the commercials. Students will continue to use typing.com to practice on typing skills.

    This week students will go over classroom rules and procedures and new seating arrangement. Introductions to ComicLife application; the app with everything you need to make a stunning comic from your own images. Packed with fonts, templates, panels, balloons, captions, and lettering art, Comic Life is a fun, powerful and easy-to-use app with endless possibilities.

     

    DIGITAL DESIGN

    This week we will review classroom rules and procedures. New seating arrangements. Students will be introduced to the basics of Adobe Premier Pro; easily assemble and finesse and edit, add audio and video effects, create titles, manipulate color and lights for the perfect aesthetic and export your finished project to any screen and any format.

Getting Assignments:

How do students get their assignments? They will go to Canvas and click on Modules, then find the current week.

Turning in Assignments:

How do students turn in assignments? Through Canvas (the name of the tray will match the name of the assignment.) Student will receive a "successful" confirmation if the assignment went through.

Checking Grades:

How do students check grades? Official grades are posted in Ascender - NOT CANVAS

Canvas Sign-In Credentials

Sometimes Canvas doesn't show me the tray I need, how do I fix this? 

You may need to logout and log back in to the Canvas App:

iPad Restart

Sometimes technology simply needs a good restart, if it becomes frozen or it things aren't functioning or updating properly. Try shutting the iPad down.

The district iPads should not be used for anything other than school apps and work according to the workflow provided by Teachers.

  

AppleID Restart

You should never sign out of your NBISD AppleID, but if you were to accidentally get signed out follow the steps below:

To sign in to your AppleID, you would go to "Settings", "iTunes & App Store", click "Sign In"

Apple ID Credentials: 

User Name: firstinitiallastnamelast4oflunch#@appleid.nbisd.org

     Example: ------->  asmith1234@appleid.nbisd.org
