Deadline is May 2


Prom will be this Saturday at the Civic Center from 7:00 to 10:00. There was some confusion over the start and end times, but the official time will be 7-10. Also, your ID is your prom ticket! You can use either your school ID or driver's license, but you will not be admitted without showing your ID. Guests must bring ID too. We'll see you at 7 with your ID.

Texas A&M University will be here tomorrow to meet with juniors who are interested in attending. They will be here during advisory in the commons. 


You can still register for the SAT. The late deadline is April 26th. 


We will have Decision Day for seniors who would like to participate. It will be in the gym at 3:48 on April 29th. You may wear your college shirt and make a poster. 


The NBHS Colorguard is accepting new members for the 2022-2023 school year! Colorguard auditions will be held April 19th-21st from 5pm-7:30pm in the Competition Gym! Prom King and Queen nominations will take place Today, April 20th in all senior English classes. Only seniors may be nominated for king and queen. Final voting will take place at prom and the winners will be announced at 9:30 on prom night. 


This last week our esports teams competed in their final regular-season matches. After the results came in, two of our teams stood out amongst the rest. Our Rocket League team, consisting of Captain Samuel Smith, Christopher Collins, Charles Schraeder, and Nickolas Kroesche, placed 15th place out of 64 teams in Texas and is advancing to State Playoffs. Our Minecraft Player Samuel Smith placed 39th place out of 805 players Nationally and is advancing to National Playoffs.

National Honor Society is meeting Today, April 20 in the auditorium during advisory. Details are in a canvas email.

Event: Spring Fling Festival

Date: Friday, April 29th

Description: Carnival games, snow cones, popcorn, face painting, petting zoo, bounce house and more. Volunteers are needed to help set up, run, and breakdown games for pre -school aged children.

New to NBISD Student Registration Parent Information
  1. New student registration information is located on the NBISD.org website or by clicking on the following link: https://www.nbisd.org/page/dis.new_student_reg 
  2. Additional documentation required for all new students includes the following:
    • Birth Certificate
    • Social Security Card (child’s)
    • Immunization Record
    • Residency Verification (NBU bill, Center Point Energy, GVEC, Lease Agreement, Mortgage agreement, or Notarized letter from landlord listing all occupants)
    • Parent Texas Driver’s License or Texas ID with current address
    • Transcript or report card from previous school is preferred but not required 


  3.  Additional documentation may be scanned to Ms. Cobb, the Counselor's Secretary, at scobb@nbisd.org.


 If parents/guardians do not have the ability to scan documents, hard copies may be delivered to the school prior to the registration meeting, and office staff will scan them. Parents/guardians coming to campus need to remain in their vehicle and call the main office 830-627-6000 to be admitted on a limited basis to provide for social distancing. We are asking all anyone who enters the building to wear a mask for the protection of the staff. Thanks for your cooperation in keeping all Unicorns safe.
