Your student can still join band for next year!
Your student can still join the Mighty Unicorn band next year, even if he/she did not put it as one of their elective choices. Email one of the band directors at NBMS and we will be happy to answer any questions about your student joining band!
My student has already picked band for next year, what’s next?
For those students who have picked band as one of their first two elective choices for next year, we are excited to meet you soon and help you pick out what instrument you will learn to play next year at NBMS. Due to the school closing we will need to change the instrument selection dates that had already been posted. We will NOT be having instrument selection meetings on April 20 through April 23. We will reset a date and time as soon as the opportunity presents itself. Please be on the lookout for updated information on here or through School Messenger.
Reminder: Please do not rent or purchase any instrument, new or used, until after your interview with a New Braunfels ISD Band Director
The NBMS band is built on Pride, Tradition and Excellence. The band directors work hard with other teachers & coaches so that the students can be in band and also do other things such as, football, cheer, basketball, dance, volleyball, theater, and high school electives. NBMS believes students should try out different things and see what they like and what they don’t like, what they are good at and may find something that they may be better at.
